BAKED CINNAMON APPLE RINGS RECIPE

INGREDIENTS: 

* Puff pastry 

* 4 Apples (gala tastes one of the best! first time we did granny smith and it wasn’t as candy – gala is sweeter 🙂 )

* 1/4 cup of Sugar

* 2 tsp floor cinnamon

* 1/8 tsp Floor nutmeg

* 1 egg overwhelmed

DIRECTION

  1. Peel, slice apples into rounds, core middle
  2. Unfold puff pastry, roll it out a little bit, reduce into strips
  3. Combine the cinnamon, sugar, and nutmeg in a shallow dish and put aside.
  4. Pat the apple slices dry with a paper towel and dirt w/cinnamon sugar.
  5. Wrap puff pastry strips round every apple ring.
  6. Brush the wrapped apple rings with egg wash.
  7. Dip or sprinkle rings into cinnamon sugar. (we drizzled maple syrup over so as to add some sweetness however don’t should)

Bake at 400° for 20-25 minutes till puff pastry is flaky and light-weight golden brown.
