Contract-extension talks between the New York Rangers and star goaltender Igor Shesterkin aren’t going effectively, apparently.

In accordance with Arthur Staple and Peter Baugh from The Athletic, sources say that the 2 sides are “not remotely shut” to agreeing on a brand new deal.

Shesterkin is getting into the ultimate season of a four-year, $22.67 million contract and will turn into an unrestricted free agent.

He posted a 36-17-2 file, 2.58 goals-against common and .912 save share over 55 video games final season.
